Chatham University to Host Free Workshop on Electric Vehicle (EV) Installation and Charging 

Chatham University will host a free EV Charging Workshop on June 12, 2024, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Eden Hall Campus in Richland Township, PA.  The workshop is targeted at commercial use, and participants will learn more about installing electric vehicle charging on properties for tenants, employees, or the public. Light breakfast refreshments and lunch will be provided, and registration is required.  

The event is co-sponsored by the Building Owners and Managers Association of Pittsburgh (BOMA), Duquesne Light Company (DLC), and Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities. The event will include an overview presentation by Brandon Smith, Program Manager, EVNoire, that will elaborate on free resources and technical assistance available through CALSTART’s Charge@Work Program funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. Participants will also hear from a panel of experts and peers familiar with installing EV charging on lessons learned, best practices, and more. Panelists include Chris Koch, Director of Strategic Partnerships, Chatham University’s Falk School of Sustainability & Environment; Nathan Tovornik, Senior Marketing & ESG Manager, Oxford Development; David Landis, President, Epic Metals; Jessica Mooney, Project Developer, Duquesne Light Company; Vivek Trivedi, Business Development Manager, FLO, and moderator Alicia McGhee, Executive Director, BOMA Pittsburgh.  

Chatham University’s Eden Hall Campus is home to four EV charging stations in partnership with Duquesne Light Company (DLC) and was one of DLC’s most successful employer/public hybrid partnerships under the Community Charging grant program.
