Chatham University selects Workday to enhance financial operations and systems
Part of Chatham’s Renew 2025 Strategic Action Plan to upgrade critical University systems and improve the employee and student experience
Chatham University has selected Workday, Inc., as its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for Finance, HR, Payroll, and Student systems. This is the University’s first integrated ERP system, replacing many systems that are over two decades old.
Workday was selected after a competitive bidding processes, and was chosen as the best platform to enable operational excellence, drive business process transformation, and deliver enhanced experiences to faculty, staff, and students.
“I am so excited that we can now implement this best-in-class, cloud-based ERP system as part of RENEW 2025’s goal of Improving Fiscal and Operational Sustainability,” said Chatham University President Dr. Rhonda Phillips. “We just established this goal one year ago, and to achieve this so quickly is a testament to the commitment of the Board, our donors, and this entire University community.”

More effectively manage budgets, transactions, and reports.
Provide more transparency and functionality for tracking finance and budgets in real-time while helping everyone make more informed decisions.
Offer enhanced self-service features for employees to track time, access payroll, manage benefits, and more.
Chatham also selected Collaborative Solutions as the Workday Partner firm to help implement the new system. While most employees will not see an immediate change, Chatham’s team has already begun implementation with a targeted go-live for Finance, HR, and Payroll on July 1, 2025 with Workday Student to go live in 2027.
