Chatham Partners with Verto Education to Provide a First Year International “Gap Year” Program

Chatham University has become a partner school with Verto Education, allowing incoming students to spend their first or second semester (or year) abroad, earning general education credits and seeing the world before continuing studies at Chatham. The partnership with Verto provides Chatham students with the opportunity to learn in and outside of the classroom, offering a once-in-a-lifetime international education and cultural experience.

Students who attend a semester (or year) with Verto earn general education and elective credits that transfer seamlessly* to Chatham after their experience. The student-to-teacher ratio is a priority, as students are enrolled in small classes and cultural immersion is prioritized through the custom curriculum. Verto offers many study options for students, for example Cultural Geology and International Business in London; International Relations and Public Speaking in Seville; Environmental Science and Latin America History in Costa Rica; or Astronomy and Art History in Florence.

Students who are interested in spending their first year abroad should apply to Verto Education directly, selecting Chatham University as the partner university of their choice for admission.

For more information and to apply, visit www.vertoeducation.org/school/chatham/ or contact Chatham admissions at undergraduate@chatham.edu for more information. Financial aid and scholarships are available. Contact us to learn more.

*Students wishing to transfer credits to Chatham University must maintain a full time schedule (12 credits) and complete coursework with a 2.7 (B-) minimum grade.
