Chatham ranked again as one of the twenty most sustainable colleges in North America by Sierra Magazine

Chatham University has been ranked #15 out of 328 ranked schools in the nation for the Sierra Magazine 2021 “Cool Schools” ranking.

This was Sierra Magazine’s 15th year ranking colleges from the United States and Canada based on institutions participation in surveys. Each of the schools ranked in the top 20 have displayed a deep and thorough commitment to addressing climate change, protecting the natural world, and encouraging environmental responsibility.

Sierra put a strong focus on Chatham’s Eden Hall Campus highlighting the different initiatives and projects implemented there. These include the work-and-pick garden, aquaculture labs, and a shout out to the pygmy goats and chickens that reside there. Also mentioned is the dedication the student body has to these commitments through clubs such as the Green Team, Waste Warriors, and the Food and Water Access Group.
