Spring semester is the perfect time for a refresh… that’s why ChathamU’s office of Marketing and Communications is partnering with Residence Life to bring you the Res Hall Rumble Contest! Showcase your residence hall space, indulge in a little healthy March Madness-style competition, and win BIG prizes. Interested? Prizes:
First place: $150 Target Gift Card
Second place: $100 Target Gift Card
Third & Fourth place: $50 Target Gift Card
Timing:
Submissions open February 13th through March 17th
Voting begins on March 20th
One match-up will be posted every weekday on @ChathamU’s Instagram Story, so be sure to check in to vote for your favorite!
Rules and Considerations:
The Res Hall Rumble contest is meant to showcase the creativity and self-expression students utilize in making residence hall rooms their own and serve as a fun way for students to engage in healthy competition with other on-campus residents.
Submitted rooms will participate in a March Madness-style bracket where students and Chatham community members will get the chance to vote on their favorite space. Students must have an Instagram account to participate in the voting.
Students may submit a portrait (up and down) photo of their half of their room/individual bedroom or can submit a photo of a shared bedroom or common space on behalf of themselves and their roommate(s). Rooms must be neat and show off your individuality as a Chatham student. Photo submissions including slander against the University or inappropriate signs/items will not be considered for the contest.
Submitting a photo of your space indicates consent to have it shared on Chatham’s Instagram account and in other marketing materials. For privacy and safety purposes, students will not include their face in the photo submission or need to include which room or floor they live on in their building. Only first name(s), building name, and a photo of the space will be shared via social media. If submitting a photo of a shared room (bedroom or common space), all roommates must consent to having the photo submitted.
Only one room submission is allowed per student. For winning submissions featuring shared rooms or common areas, the prize must be split between residents.
The first-place room will win $150, the second-place room will win $100, and the third and fourth-place rooms will each win $50, all in gift cards to Target. The students who submitted the photo of the winning rooms will be notified via email at conclusion of the contest. Gift card pickup will be arranged with Rhianna Davis, Social Media Specialist (r.davis@chatham.edu).
