Check Out Chatham’s Fall Foliage

Chatham’s Shadyside campus is a designated arboretum and as such, it is home to an impressive variety of flora. When summer turns to fall, campus transforms into a spectacular mosaic of red, orange, yellow, and green, a sight you simply must see for yourself. We highly recommend a quick photoshoot during your visit, either at the pond, Mellon Center, or on the quad. If you’re looking for photoshoot suggestions, check out Chatham student and writer, Abigail Kneuss’s Top 10 Spots for Fall Photo Fun.

Catch the Back-to-School Buzz

There is an undeniable energy in the air each fall as students return, new students arrive, and classes resume. Visiting in the fall gives you the chance to envision yourself in the shoes of the students you see. Can you picture yourself having dinner in Anderson Dining Hall or nestling in for the night in Laughlin House? Do you see yourself studying in the Jennie King Mellon Library or grabbing a pre-class coffee in Café Rachel? Where would you sit in the Buhl Science Complex’s Beckwith Lecture Hall? Though summer visits may afford quiet exploration, fall visits give you the chance to truly imagine what your life could be like at Chatham.
