President Search Community Survey and Input Sessions Announced
Dear Chatham Community,
The Presidential Search Committee and the team from our search firm, Academic Search, are preparing this week to officially launch the search process for Chatham’s next president.
One of the first and most important steps in that process is to develop a deep understanding of Chatham, as it is today, and as it prepares to move into the future. To help accomplish this goal, we are launching a community survey and holding a series of virtual and in-person input sessions for campus community groups this month. Please read these important and critical steps for soliciting community input in the search process below.
Complete the Online Survey
All Chatham community members are invited to participate in a survey about the search for the next president. This survey is designed to gather your thoughts about what makes the institution such a special place, your vision for the future, and the attributes sought in the next president. The feedback received will help inform the search, including the search profile, which outlines the preferred professional experiences, essential values, and personal characteristics of our next president.
The survey will close on November 21, 2022, and was sent via email to all students, staff, faculty, and alumni. If you did not receive a link to the survey, please contact communications@chatham.edu.
Attend an Input Session
We are also encouraging all community members to attend either a virtual or in-person input session with our consultants from Academic Search and members of the Search Committee. We want to ensure that every voice is heard, so please consider attending one of the input session sessions being offered. If you are unable to attend an input session, be sure to provide your input via the community survey.
Details on the available sessions are available at https://www.chatham.edu/about-us/president-search/feedback.html and the links to Zoom sessions and location details will be sent via email to community members.
We look forward to engaging the Chatham University community in this important process and will continue to provide updates on the search at www.chatham.edu/president-search. In addition, once the recruitment period begins in early December, there will be an opportunity to nominate individuals for this position through a link on the search website.
Thank you for your time and input into the president search, and we look forward to hearing from you over the coming weeks.
Sincerely,
Joanne Laipson, ’82, Trustee & Search Committee Co-Chair
Brooks Broadhurst, Trustee & Search Committee Co-Chair
