Chatham University’s School of Arts, Science and Business releases new podcast

Chatham University’s School of Arts, Science and Business (SASB) is excited to announce the release of a new podcast hosted by SASB Associate Dean/Associate Professor Dr. Carrie Tippen.

Each month, the “Chatty Professor” podcast explores topics related to different teaching practices including service learning, accessibility and feedback styles. Every concept will be broken down into four different episodes, each with the purpose of collecting the wisdom and experience of Chatham’s creative and compassionate educators. These podcasts will form an archive of best practices and ideas about teaching that professors can reference any time.

“No one is more expert at teaching Chatham students than Chatham faculty,” Dr. Tippen said. “I’ve been leading professional development for faculty for the last five years, and I have found that the most engaging conversations about teaching happen when we learn from each other. We have a wealth of wisdom right here just waiting to be gathered and shared.”

One episode a month will be a recording from live “Teaching Excellence” panel discussions among faculty. Other episodes will be one-on-one conversations with faculty where Dr. Tippen will pick their brains on the topic of the month.

Listeners can look forward to hearing from distinguished Chatham faculty such as Adjunct Professor of English, Jill Behrmann, and Director of the Office of Academic and Accessibility Resources, Cindy Kerr.

Episodes are available at blogs.chatham.edu/pedagogypodcast, with more coming soon. For any questions or interview requests, please contact the Chatham PR Client Studio at chathamclientstudio@gmail.com.
