Chatham’s Exercise Sciences Program Receives Accreditation

Chatham University’s undergraduate exercise science program was recently awarded accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) following a comprehensive program review in the summer of 2024.

The accreditation standards are established by CAAHEP, the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES), American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, American Kinesiotherapy Association, American Red Cross, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and National Council on Strength & Fitness.

Jason Edsall, Ph.D., is the director of the exercise science program, which prepares students for professional practice in a variety of fields as well as graduate study. The next program evaluation will occur in 2029.
